La semana pasada os conté en un post muy especial mi experiencia en el
Journal Viajero de Queenland; y os enseñé con un video el mío propio; ese que recibí lleno de creatividad, cosas bonitas y mucho cariño por parte de mis compañeras de viaje en la ronda 1 (Helena, Virginia e Inma).

Y como sé que los journals de mis compañeras ya les han llegado, puedo ya contaros mi aportación a cada uno de ellos.
Hoy comenzamos con el Journal de Helena... una joya de cuaderno de viaje que cuando cayó en mis manos me dejó casi sin aliento... desprendía muchísima fuerza siendo tan pequeño... y es que tiene una historia muy especial detrás que os cuenta Helena en su post
aquí (además podréis ver el journal en la primera ronda completo).
Last week I told you in a very special post my experience at the "Journal Viajero" by Queenland; and I showed mine with a video; that journal full of creativity, pretty things and lots of love from my pen-pals at round 1 (Helena, Virginia and Inma).

And as I know my pen-pals' journals have arrived, I can tell you what I've done in each one of them.
Today we start with Helena's Journal... an amazing traveler-book which lets me out of breath... it was full of strength being so small... and that's because it has a very special story backwards. Helena tells you it in her post here (and you can see the hole journal the round 1 finished).
Os voy a contar un secreto... me costó mucho darle forma a las páginas de este journal. Lo encontraba tan especial, que me daba miedo no plasmar la belleza que veía en él.
Pero por fin llegó la inspiración de la mano de la propia dueña, que en las primeras páginas fue dando pistas de las cosas que le gustaban... y ahí yo tenía también algo especial que aportarle.
Le llené las dos primeras páginas de color con entintados y envejecidos, usando washi-tape como base de color en las hojas... y cómo no un gato negro... ese que carvé cuando empecé mi afición por el carvado de sellos y al cual le tengo muchísimo cariño... sabía que a Helena le iba a gustar, pero no que fuera parte de su novela!

I'm telling you a secret... at the beginning, create the new scrap-pages was so hard to me. I found it so special, that I was afrait not to make all the beauty I saw in it.
But at least the inspiration came from Helena's hand... she wrote in the first pages the things she loves... and there I'd got something special to do.
I made the two first pages full of colors with inked and aged papers, using washi-tape as the base of color... and how not! a black cat... that one I carved when I start my passion for carved stamps and which I feel a special love for... I knew Helena will like it, but not it was part of her novel!

Para guardar ese secreto, necesitaba otra página más. Y no podía estar dedicada a otra cosa que a los libros, la literatura y la ilustración. Así que me fui a mi carpeta de recortes... esa en la que guardo imágenes especiales que te cuentan algo con sólo mirarlas, y elegí esta de
"Princesas olvidadas o desconocidas"... una preciosidad de álbum ilustrado.
For keeping that secret, I needed one more page. It couldn't be dedicated to other thing than books, literature and illustration. So I took my scrap folder... that where I put special pics which tell you a story only by looking them, and I chose this one from "The Secret Live of Princesses"... a very lovely illustrated book.
Y como os he dicho... la princesa y el gato negro guardan un secreto... un bolsillo que contiene sorpresas y algo muy especial: la receta de los
"besitos de novia" de mi abuela... (si os gusta la repostería y queréis probar a hacerla la tenéis
aquí).
As I've told you... the princess and the black cat kept a secret... a hidden pocket with some surprises and something very special: my grandmother's recipe of "bride's kisses"... (if you want to taste them, here you have it).
Sólo restaba cerrar este journal y enviárselo de vuelta a su dueña, que seguro lo estaba esperando con impaciencia... y no le faltaban motivos... una joyita así entre las manos te alegra la vida.
Last thing we must do was close that lovely journal and send it to her owner, for sure she was waiting for it with impatience... and it was full of motives... a very pretty thing like that in your hands makes you happy.
